missing box in DC

From: Druid Sea (oakleaf69@yahoo.com) | Date: 2002-12-27 15:03:09 UTC
Howdy all!

On christmas eve after a half day of work and in the snow, I was
scampering about Washington DC following clues and finding boxes.
What a wonderful time, I had! **smile**

However, there is one that I was unable to locate: Orion the Hunter.
I fear that it may be MIA. I reviewed the clues several times and
searched low and high to no avail.

I found Orion about a week ago.

Good to hear. I guess that I will try again. **smile**

Sorry you had trouble finding Orion the Hunter. It is a strange box
being a microbox, a pair of film cannisters taped together, then
velcro strapped to a tree branch. I even purposely made it black
hoping non-letterboxers would not notice it.

I hope you found others in DC. I enjoy reading about letterboxing
adventures and boxes found and unfound.

Note "It's a Holiday" letterbox posted on my clue site and not on
letterboxing.org. It may be a temporary letterbox for the holidays
but so far I am leaving it up indefinitely depending on how nervous I
get about a box in a mall.

Happy hunting,

Yes, I was able to find 3 others that day. I probably was searching
the wrong tree. LOL (however, I have not shown up in the headlines as
of yet "pervert molests cedar tree near State Department") I was
trying to be inconspicuous. LOL

Anyway, I will try again. :) Oakleaf
